The Scenic Acres Community Association is located in the quiet community of Scenic Acres in North West Calgary. Close to the Trans Canada, Stoney Trail, Crowfoot Trail and the new Crowfoot Centennial LRT station, we are easily accessible. With ample parking and a mountain view, we offer a quiet retreat from the city without the drive. The Community Centre located at 8825 Scurfield Drive NW, Calgary T3L1R9, is a one story building with a Main Hall used to host community association programming and also available for rent. The grounds around the centre contain two Beach Volleyball Courts as well as an open area referred to as the East Field. All facilities are used by SACA to offer a number of programs, services and clubs to SACA Members, but are also available for rental.
The facility is currently rented by a number of clubs, sports groups, arts groups and individuals who provide programs and services to the wider community. Time is also set aside for members of the association and the wider community to rent the facility for one off functions such as Anniversary Parties, Family Celebrations, Weddings, Birthdays, Dance Practices, Piano Recitals and Meetings.
SACA also oversees the maintenance of the Tennis Courts and Basketball Courts located on Scenic Acres Drive NW, Calgary. (Please note the Basketball Courts are currently closed due to the new school construction).
SACA also works with the City of Calgary and local residents to re-develop Community Playgrounds within the community of Scenic Acres. The Schubert Hill Playground and Scenic Cove Playground are examples of community playgrounds which have been re-developed within the past 5 years through such a partnership. If you are able to offer your assistance please contact the SACA office at scenicacresca@shaw.ca or 403-547-9589.
