President, Ike Zacharopoulos: Ike and his wife Julie have lived in Scenic
Acres for nearly 30 years, raising two children and three dogs. He has served
on the SACA Board in various capacities since 2013. A strong advocate for our community, Ike commends
our terrific Administration Team and the fantastic community volunteers serving
on the SACA Board and associated committees and those helping with community
projects and events. He looks forward to continued collaboration going forward
on community enhancing initiatives, including food, fun and fellowship
opportunities.
Secretary, Kim Bergman: Kim has lived in Scenic Acres for the last 12 years with her husband and two kids; you have probably seen her out enjoying the parks with her family or young puppy named Maple. Community is important to her, and she is passionate about giving back. If she is not helping coach one her kids’ teams, she is often out playing volleyball with her girlfriends. A Technologist by training, Kim has worked in the Calgary Oil and Gas community with an assortment of companies for 20+ years. She has been with ConocoPhillips for the past 17 years, holding various roles within the organization.
Treasurer, Stanley Wong: chartered professional accountant and a certified public accountant with the State of Wyoming. He is recently retired after spending over 30 years in the commercial real estate industry, and has served in a number of non-profit organizations, including the Calgary Girls Charter School and the Scenic Acres School Enhancement Society. An avid sportsman, Stanley particularly enjoys downhill skiing and cycling, or just cruising around in a convertible.

Director, Community Development, Colin Yeo: Colin joined the SACA Board in March 2015. Colin is a retired geologist, having worked in the petroleum industry for 40 years. He is a Former President of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists. He brings strategic and governance insights to the Board. He is currently the Secretary of the BP Alumni Club. Colin and his wife Maryann have lived in Scenic Acres for the past 11 years but were in Silver Springs for the prior 35 years.
Director, Facilities, Mike Fursier: Mike joined the Board as Facilities Director in April 2018. Born and raised in the UK, Mike has over 20 years experience in construction and project management roles in the UK, Middle East and Canada. Mike led the team building and maintenance of the SACA outdoor ice rink for the few last years and is looking forward to making it a more regular fixture in the community. After renting in Scenic Acres for 3 years, Mike and his wife, Amanda, recently bought their first Canadian house and are relishing putting down some permanent roots! Mike and Amanda have been married for 13 years and have two children.

Director, Parks & Environment, Lee Syhlonyk: Lee and her family have lived in Scenic Acres for over 30 years. When their house was first built, they had a view of the farmers field across the road, complete with cows and the occasional coyote. Much has changed in the neighbourhood since then, although the coyotes are still here. Lee retired in 2013 and has spent much time at the family cabin northwest of Calgary, tending a big garden with her husband. Lee will be getting up to speed on all LEAF matters under the guidance of Ike as well as stewarding community interest in a variety of projects.
Director, Sports & Affiliates, Keely Willment: In her day job, Keely works for the City of Calgary, with an array of experiences from coordinating programs, community initiatives, events, and advising sport organizations, to elections and census. She has also dedicated a significant amount of time supporting the women’s rugby program at the University of Calgary. Keely’s young family has been in Scenic Acres since 2015, and are busy running around soccer and ball diamonds, biking on the many pathways in the community, and watching owls, coyotes, and birds in the ravine.
Director, Fundraising, Bill Hamilton: Bill has lived in Scenic Acres since 1986. He was the Board of Director or Community Development from 1990 -2008, at which time he was awarded with the “Community Hero Award”, which was a great honor to him. Additionally, he was Chairperson for 7 successful casinos and volunteer for others. He has been a realtor since 1986 and has enjoyed giving back to the community in different ways. He has a son in Calgary and daughter in Port Coquitlam BC with a 4-year-old great grandson. He is honored to be on the Board again as he loves the community and the people within.
