Summer Camp Descriptions

Our Planet

Our Planet Camp will teach campers more about the world that
surrounds us. Learning about ecosystems and how we can properly care for our
planet. Walking around our community we will visit the ravine and see what we
can find using water skimmers and buckets. This camp will also include a field
trip on the last day to Telus Spark Science Center!

Summer Fun

Join us for an unforgettable week of summer fun! Dive into a world of excitement as we embark on a week filled with laughter, creativity and endless fun. From thrilling indoor and outdoor games to hands-on arts & crafts and refreshing swims in the pool, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Princess and Prince Camp (offsite at Bowness Seniors Centre)

Princess and Prince Camp will immerse your camper into the world of
royalty. Including crafts, activities, outdoor play, and so much more. At the
end of the week there will be a royal tea party where campers will be awarded
their tiaras/crowns. There will also be potential for swimming at Silver
Springs pool if the day seems too hot to play outside at the Community Center.

All Around The World

Around the world camp will let your camper travel around the globe from
the comfort of the community centre. Every day will be filled with learning
about a country in the world by doing crafts, learning traditional games, and
even trying snacks from other countries. We will go over facts and important
people from each country we look at. As well, after every ‘visit’ to each
country, campers will receive a stamp in their ‘passport’! There will also be
potential for swimming at Silver Springs pool if the day is a scorcher!

Olympics/Jr Olympics (Jr Olympics will be offsite at Bowness Seniors Centre)

Olympics Camp will allow campers to test the waters of multiple sports.
Some of these sports will include tennis, soccer, volleyball, basketball and
many more. Each day, they will learn about 2 sports, one in the morning and one
in the afternoon. After learning the rules and outcomes of each sport, campers
will spend time playing games/learning specific movements that surround each
sport. The last day of camp we will have a Mini-Olympics camp where kids will
be able to compete in the sports they have learned.

Bike Camp

Take to the trails this summer with the Scenic
Acres Community Association Bike Camp! Our expert instructors will lead
students on epic adventures each day while also emphasizing the importance of
bike safety and the rules of the road. On their adventures, students will get
the chance to explore both paved and unpaved trails in Scenic Acres, Silver
Springs, Bowness, and Tuscany with a snack and lunch break to refuel. But the
adventure doesn’t end there – along the way you’ll make new friends and create
lasting memories. So, grab your helmet, hop on your bike and register today to

Canoe Camp

Embark on a summer journey like no other at our Canoe Camp!
Get ready to paddle your way through excitement, exploration, and unforgettable
memories as we navigate the waters of Bowness Park. Led by experienced
instructors, you’ll learn the art of canoeing, from the basics of a canoe and safety tips to paddling your way across the water. Register now and experience the thrill of

Volleyball

The Scenic Acres Community Association Volleyball Camp,
where passion meets precision and spikes meet strategy! Register for a summer
of Volleyball actions where players of all skill levels can come together to
learn new skills and elevate their game. Under the guidance of our coaches, you
will run drills, practice techniques, master new plays and participate in

Art Camp

Art Camp will unleash the creativity within your camper.
Using a multitude of different mixed media campers will express themselves
through their art. At this camp its ok to get a little messy with your process,
our leaders will walk through campers with pre planned crafts, however we
always appreciate when our campers put their own unique spin on the activity!

Net Games and Road Hockey

Gear up for a summer of athletic excitement at out Net Games
and Road Hocket Camp! From the fast-paced intensity of road hockey to the
competitive nature of net games, our camp is sure to keep you on your toes,
each day pick between an array of options and sharpen your skills, build
confidence and unleash your full potential. Lace up your sneakers, grab your

Beach Volleyball

Get ready to spike, set, and dive into the summer with our
Beach Volleyball Camp. Whether you’re honing your skills or discovering the
sport for the first time, our expert coaches will guide you into drills,
practicing and learning new skills and thrilling matches. Soak up the sun and
make new friends in our very own beach volleyball courts. Our camps offer a

“I’ll make lunch” (Offsite at Bowness Seniors Centre)

Our “I’ll make lunch” summer camp is perfect for all the
aspiring chefs out there. Join us at a kitchen in Bowness to learn the basics
of cooking, new skills, and new recipes that are sure to impress! Our cooking
will be watched over by experience chefs who will make sure that our recipes
and skills are catered toward our camper’s level. Each day the campers will
make their own lunch and make enough to bring a takeout box home for others in
their household to try.

Beach Volleyball/Volleyball/Basketball

Calling all young athletes! From the sandy courts of beach
volleyball to an adrenaline-filled basketball game, our multi-sport summer camp
is the sports extravaganza you won’t want to miss. With the instruction of our
expert coaches, you will learn new skills, build confidence, work as a team,
