Areas along Stoney Trail, ravines and Scenic Acres Link not part of the initiative
Upon approval by 2/3 of Scenic Acres taxpayers, the community will assume responsibility for all green spaces except those marked by the hatched green areas along Stoney Trail, Nose Hill Drive and the ravine running through the community. As well, until Calgary Roads transfers responsibility to Calgary Parks, the small area marked in yellow along Scenic Acres Link will be exempt from this initiative.
An important step in assuming the responsibility for maintenance of the green space will be establishing minimum standards for the community along with a plan for enhancements. The first phase may be to improve the appearance of entrances into the community and major boulevards. Subsequent upgrades for smaller green spaces will be accommodated on a priority basis established by the volunteer committee established to manage this initiative after the petition process has been completed and approval obtained from residents.
