Ice Rinks

RECRUITING RINK VOLUNTEERS!

Without the support of a dedicated group of volunteers to build and maintain SACA’s outdoor rinks, we would not be able to provide these much loved community facilities.

If you can help to maintain the ice please sign up for the shifts that suit you at: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0B4EAAAB2AA2FB6-201718. Full training will be given.

IMG_20160108_104726510Outdoor Rink Information: Each year on the SACA grounds volunteers build and maintain 2 outdoor rinks. One with low board for Hockey and one without boards for lttle ones to learn to skate. Please note the rinks will be closed when the temperature goes above 4C for a prolonged period of time.  This is to prevent damage to the ice surfaces.  If anyone skates on the ice during spells of warm weather it can cause irreparable damage to the ice. Please respect the work done by our wonderful team of volunteers and stay off the ice when the rinks are closed (you will know they are closed due to the signage placed around the centre).
