SACA’s 2021 Community Clean-Up Day will be on Saturday June 26 from 9am to 2pm in the Scenic Acres Community Centre parking lot. PLEASE NOTE: Due to anticipated large volumes of traffic, entry to the SACC parking lot will only be permitted for those traveling East bound (clockwise) on Scurfield Drive NW i.e. right hand turns into parking lot only.
COVID-19 precautions: Please note that provincial regulations due to COVID-19 are in effect at all Community Cleanups. Please click HERE to learn more about the specific health and safety protocols for these events.
NEW for 2021: To limit the potential for spreading covid-19, all attendees will be required to unload their own vehicles. If you would like to attend but would need assistance please contact the SACA Office at email@example.com.
Accepted items in 2021:
Shredding (max 4 boxes per vehicle)
Organic Yard Waste (no sod)
Garbage – to go directly into the garbage trucks
Blue Bin Type Recycling (Cardboard, Tin Cans, Plastics etc.)
Gently Used Items suitable for re-sale

Items NOT accepted:
Liquids: Paints, Gases & Chemicals *
Compressed Cylinders (e.g. propane/helium tanks, fire extinguishers) *
Florescent ballasts *
Household and rechargeable batteries *
* These items can be dropped off at the Fire Station #17 located at 3740 32nd Avenue NW by the University of Calgary
** Bow West Appliances located at #101-6323 Bowness Road NW will accept appliances dropped off to them for a fee of $5 per appliance
*** Tires can be dropped off for FREE, for recycling at City of Calgary Landfill Locations. Click HERE to learn more
