Community Engagement Committee: This committee is looking at ways to foster community engagement through events, programs and activities. Schooner Playground Redevelopment Committee: Formed in early 2018 this committee has been fundraising and making plans to redevelop the aging Schooner playground located in a circular green-space between Schooner Landing and Schooner Cove areas of Scenic Acres. Norwest Soccer: This committee comprising of representatives from both Scenic Acres and Silver Springs oversees the operations of the Norwest Soccer Association (www.norwestsoccer.org) which offers recreational and house league soccer each Spring. Community Development Committee: This committee works to facilitate the ongoing development of Scenic Acres. These development projects range from new commercial developments such as the Scenic Grande to renovations and the development of Secondary Suites within residential properties. LEAF (Landscape Enhancement Appreciation Fund) Committee: This committee volunteers their time to oversee the landscape maintenance and enhancements for Scenic Acres and ensures the funds collected by the City are appropriately expended within the per-determined budget. Some SACA Committees (see below), as per the SACA Bylaws, require membership of the SACA Board or a specific staff role. Any resident member of SACA is welcome to put their name forward to serve on the SACA Board. To learn more about serving on the board please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Finance Committee: This committee currently made up of the SACA Treasurer, President and General Manager. They meet quarterly to ensure SACA’s finances are being managed in a transparent and efficient manner.
Executive Committee: This committee is composed according to the SACA Bylaws by the SACA President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. In addition to having dual signing authority, the Executive Committee provide leadership to the SACA Board.
