UPDATE: Feb 20, 2017: Family Day Skate TODAY! 1:45 to 3:45pm at the Crowchild Twin Arena on the Blue Rink. No sticks/pucks just skating and complementary Hot Chocolate! Shinny at the SACA ODR will be pending ice conditions/temperature. Could turn into Ball Hockey in the Parking Lot!

Feb 6, 2017: Snow Route Parking Ban in effect from 6pm today for at least 72 hours while City crews clear away the snow. The affected roads in Scenic Acres are Scenic Acres Drive and Scurfield Drive.  Reminder Spring Sports Registrations are OPEN for: Norwest Rec. Soccer, Beach Volleyball, West Valley Slo-Pitch. SAWS: Women’s soccer will open February 13th and Adult Slo-Pitch with open March 1st. Please note the Adult Slo-Pitch League is looking for one new team to join the league. Dec 17, 2016: SACA’s two outdoor rinks are now OPEN!!!!  Please enjoy the rinks between the hours of 9am and 9pm and obey all signage posted at the rinks. Periodically the rinks may have to be closed for maintenance/warm weather. Dec 06, 2016: Development Permit to build seniors housing at 8720 Scurfield Drive NW has been approved by the City of Calgary. Residents wanting to appeal this decision have until Thursday December 15 to file their appeal. To learn more please click here. Nov 17, 2016: Join us Saturday for our annual Christmas Shopping Extravaganza from 11am to 3pm 23 vendors selling a wide variety of products and services will be showcasing in the Main Hall and Palmer Boardroom. It’s not too late to call 403-547-9589 for tickets to tomorrow’s Bubble Gum Boogie.  An Information Meeting about the proposed Revera Senior’s Housing Development is being held next Thursday November 24 from 7:00 to 8:00pm in the Palmer Boardroom.

Nov 3, 2016: Wine Tasting Social with appies and more 7:30pm tomorrow night!  Colin co-owner of the Silver Springs Liquor Store will be bringing 15 different wines, beers and spirits for you to sample at our Wine Tasting event this Friday night. Oct 26, 2016: Join us!!! We have some great events coming up in the next few weeks! Bring your family this Saturday 9am to Noon for our Annual Pumpkin Giveaway and Food Drive with sponsor Leslie Schmeiler!  Have the kids dress in their costume and for a minimum $5 cash donation or a bag of non-perishable food donations pick your pumpkin for our pumpkin patch.  Protect yourself this flu season by joining us on Sunday Oct. 30 at 1pm our FREE Flu Clinic where anyone 9 years and older can come and receive their Flu Shot (please bring your Alberta Health Care Card). Come and learn about the New Meals On Wheels 1pm Thurs Nov 3rd.  Gather your neighbours to taste wines, a couple of beers and maybe even some liquors when we Travel the World through Wine on Friday Nov 4 at 7:30pm.
